    Finding Gratitude

    When I run, I typically find it’s the time I get my best ideas. Or, at least ideas. Maybe I’m the only one that thinks they are decent. Feet hitting the pavement, one step after another, music in my ears and alone with just my thoughts. It’s therapeutic for me.     Putting ourselves first

    Sounds selfish, huh? Almost even proud, cocky or a “more important than you” mindset. However, it’s something I try to do almost every day. Hardly ever does it disrupt my family life or the necessity to keep 500 balls in the air at all times. It does, however, fill me up and also sends a message to my family that I’m important too and taking care of myself is important.  For me, it’s typically working out but I also consider date nights of the utmost importance.     I’m too old. I’m too young. It’s already been done before. No one will read it. No one cares. I don’t have any unique ideas. I’m embarrassed. I’ve started countless times already and given up. I can think of a million reasons to NOT do something. Regret. It’s a word we all know too well. And there’s one word that seems to always go with regret. Not. Think about it.
